Bohrkern in Rekord-Länge könnte helfen, antarktischen Eisschwund vorherzusagen
Ein internationales Forschungsteam hat den bislang längsten Sedimentkern aus Ablagerungen unter einem Eisschild hervorgeholt. Dieser Kern belegt die Klimaveränderungen für Millionen von Jahren und hilft, den Verlust des westantarktischen Eisschilds durch die Klimaerwärmung vorherzusagen.
